I have been tracking MK8 vs SSB for awhile now. I think at one point the difference was over 600k in the past 2 or 3 years, but MK8 trucked along and has now surpassed SSB.
On a completely different note, there are reports of some retailers allowing the PS5 to be sold over the counter. One store might get ~10 available, so some lucky few have been able to get there quick and early and pick up the PS5 without going through the tedious lottery or point card system.
Perhaps in the next few months, PS5s will actually be stocked on the shelf without being sold right away.
