Hm. Shoigu announced the appointment of Gerassimov as the Joint Armed Forces Chief of Staff (i.e. in charge of the war), and demoted Surovikin. Among other things, this would lead to even further face-offs with Prigozhin who's been attacking Gerassimov.

Shoigu is fighting back against Prigozhin.
Prigozhin hates Gerassimov and pushed for Surovikin to take over.
