They just need to be very very clear that Starfield won't be here at this event and when we should expect it, the date of the Starfield showcase, and a reconfirmation of its date because if they don't do that then everyone will say it's delayed before they even announce the delay. So maybe they should put all of this in the Xbox Wire blogpost which will announce the event.

"We have an Xbox event for these titles and some new smaller announcements, Starfield won't be here but we will be doing a Starfield deep dive on XX-XX-2023 before its scheduled release in Early 2023 (if not delayed)."

If they announce the event through Xbox Wire without saying Starfield won't be there and come the event, Starfield isn't there = They'll be angry gamers.
If they announce the event through Xbox Wire and say Starfield won't be there but don't announce a date for the Starfield showcase = They'll be a lot of annoyance at the unknown.
If they announce the event through Xbox Wire but don't end it with confirming Starfield is still on track = Everyone will be assuming Starfield is delayed and banging on about that before the event.

Or shove a quick trailer in for Starfield at the end of the event with a release date announcement and further deep dive at the Starfield showcase on XX-XX-2023.

Don't fuck this up, Xbox, Lol.

"We have an Xbox event showcasing titles such as Redfall, Minecraft Legends, Forza Motorsport and many more including a few smaller announcements. Unfortunately Starfield won't be at this event but please look forward to a Starfield deep dive in February 2023 (example) before its scheduled release in Early 2023"

There we go.
