I used to upgrade more or less for a three-fold increase in GPU performance, which would mean now around 4090 levels. So I'll wait out at least the next generation (or maybe longer... 3 nm is a half-node jump so I doubt 4090 perf will trickle down to the 5070 Ti just yet, unless it's like over a thousand dollars...)
