Okay final two games. Of those I still need to post, #4 and #3 have already been guessed. #7, Anno 1602, sadly wasn't guessed, you guys need to play more city builder sims. 
4 - This game was originally developed with different art direction, and elements of this style can still be seen in the game's intro cutscene.
Hint 2: The change of style, done to move it away from the look of a certain other game, fuelled the rumour that the producer (who's the original creator of both series) didn't like this other game. I doubt that's true. Guessed by drbunnig - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
