My biggest gainer on the list. A game I had previously played in my teenage years but didn't quite grasp the complexities of at the time. Finally, after a friend's convincing, I went back to this game and played through the Pacifist & even the Genocide ending this year and it completely changed my view on the game. The proficiency I've always gotten, a masterpiece in reinventing traditional rpg combat with a wonderfully realized fight & act system that creates such an interesting view on morality. All the thematic elements I missed initially finally set in this time though. It's a mind-bending game about your character's choices and the choices of those around you and those from the past, and how they've effected the current situation you're presented. The character roster while seemingly goofy gags are all dynamic developed and each portray a different way they've coped with their struggles over the year. Topping all that off with maybe the most brilliant soundtrack to a game I've ever heard, and this is a new memory I will never forget. If the memes and otherwise often annoying internet culture ever deterred you from this game, I implore you to give it a shot now, it really is worth it.
