4 star. I think it's Sony's best attempt at a controller but it's not quite in my top tier list.

It's probably the most comfortable PS controller to use overall, the haptics are incredible, the mic is a very nice addition, the spacing on the analogs is perfect, the analogs still feel fantastic to use like the DS4's analogs but don't have the crappy sticky rubber on them like many of the DS4's, the triggers are the best triggers Sony's ever designed, and none of the buttons stress my hands to use or press. Also the light bar is really toned back from the DS4 which is very nice, the controller uses USB type C instead of micro USB like DS4, and the USB C port sticks directly out instead of being aimed diagonally outwards but down like DS4.

With that said, the handles are less comfortable than the DS4's handles, the face buttons and d-pad are a step backwards from the DS4 as they're mushier and protrude less, while the triggers are best Sony has made they're not as good as the best Microsoft or Nintendo have made, the mic isn't the greatest, the speaker is cool to have but not great quality, and the battery life is only about 3 or 4 hours which is very limiting.

Again, it's a fantastic controller. Sony's best. But they do have room to improve and I do hope they keep they improve either in future iterations of the Dual Sense or for the PS6's controller.
