I'm pretty sure it is - EA and Ubisoft does it with their own account systems too.

I’m definitely hoping that will be the case. Starfield is technically still being published by Bethesda Softworks, the publishing arm of ZeniMax, so I didn’t know any information like that had come out yet. Especially since you usually would sign in to your Bethesda.net account. I’m still thinking Redfall will release first before Starfield, so we’ll find out soon enough. With multiplayer centric games like Halo or Forza Horizon 5, you’re forced to login to your Xbox account before being able to play. So Redfall will be a good test.
