Sony has been buying smaller devs and building them slowly. Bungie is the exception which just so happened to occur during the same period of time that MS bought Zenimax. Was this just coincidence or did Sony have enough knowledge of what MS was up to?

Buying smaller studios and timed exclusivity is nothing compared to buying everyone out with tens of billions, one after another, then potentially money hating the rest to seal the fate of the competition. It's not like MS couldn't have let XB do this since the 360 or anytime since then, but they didn't, so Sony didn't have to either. Now that XB is looking to consolidate, Sony doesn't have much choice unless they've got an ace up their sleeve.

1. Thats called compition. Nintendo or Sega didnt stay the clear leader for every gen.

2.Not sure what them better plans are as it seems only Nintendo keeps doing their own thing here and it has paid off for them big time.

3. Everyone likes to set things up early but its about going in with it or backing away. Sony is never going to be as big as Ms in the streaming market or the PC market if they just take a look and see way of looking at it. Sonys path is clear to me they plan on going all in as it as always been from the start when it comes to me. I said before any console company started realing games on pc that Pc was where they should be releasing games. Console fans at the time where like "No way ther consoles would never sell its exclusives that sell hardware" as we have now seen i have been right. Its 3rd partys that sell hardware and the name of the brand nothing more nothing less.

Sony always planned on buying up companys to think they are only doing it now cause of MS is silly.
