Games like High on Life make me realise that Xbox doesn't need an exclusive every month or two to compete with Sony.

Sure, having some exclusives this year would have been great, but getting games like this at day one on game pass is a huge W.

I can certainly agree with this statement but things is in that context GamePass subscription remain at 30m ish whit slow to moderate growth. 

Ms certainly have better hopes for gamepass, some that will see a userbase the likes of netflix at 200m+. For that, as we've seen this year, MS need way more release and exclusive certainly would help a lot. 

So while I agree it is not necessary to satisfy and retain the current userbase, it is necessary for MS ambition to come true.
