Yeah, this launch has a similar vibe to that. RDNA 3 feels like a proof of concept (for MCM) and a test for AMD, rather than a product line that would be a strong competitor to Ada in the high end. At least RDNA 2 was highly competitive in raster across the stack.

Also read rumors there may be issues with the design at least for Navi 31, hence why the clock speeds are fairly underwhelming. Still, eh.. which is to be expected frim the Radeon group. I just hope the mid range cards fare better from but I'm not holding my breath.
