Sega killed the Dreamcast. It was a great fun machine handled all wrong. Same with Nintendo and the GameCube, but Ninty kept going where Sega bowed out. Sony on the other hand did everything right with the ps2. XBox was the new kid on the block, not surprising it sold less. Plus MS killed it off after only 4 years because they used standard 3rd party parts that went up in price. PS2 was in production for 13 years! At the end new ps2's were on sale for only $80. I bought an extra two just in case.

Nintendo is a lot like Windows, bad version after good version after bad version. Hopefully Nintendo can break that cycle with Switch 2, although history is against them.

I don't think Switch 2 will flop but because it's a hybrid again those past consoles Nintendo tried different console iterations Except Nes to SNES and N64 sort of but they really messed up from Good N64 to bad Gamecube to good Wii to bad Wii U to good Switch one ( from gamecube to Switch 1 every console was different with some form of innovation.)
