No, it absolutely isn't if we are talking about becoming #1. The name "Xbox" has a certain image attached to it and a new console that launches with this name (let's say Xbox 720) automatically carries that image over, whether or not it would still hold true.

"Xbox" doesn't have the image to get widely popular, thus preventing it from becoming #1. So in order to win, Microsoft has to kill off their Xbox brand.

 

 I don't know where you live so it may be different there but here in NA Xbox = Cool games
