NJ5, can you elaborate.. what was the story with Xbox 1 and Nvidia?

The reason the Xbox was discontinued was Nvidia. They owned the GPU design and didn't want to produce it anymore. No GPU, no console.

I don't know the details of the case though. Maybe Microsoft had part of the fault, but even if that's the case that doesn't change my point ;)
