If it falls through then MS have to go scorched earth and start picking up independent studios.

I would love for them to go after Capcom I would prefer them over SEGA but wouldn't be upset at either one I also think that they should go after Pearl Abyss too. Avalanche Studios, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal are owned by a parent company so that would be difficult but not impossible.
