So, I've been playing Halo co-op with some friends on the side the last few days, and I gotta say, it's honestly still something of an embarrassment. There's pretty regular freezes/lag spikes. If you wanna replay certain segments of a mission, you can't then simply exit the mission straight back into the overworld without exiting the whole session, or playing the mission through to the end. If you're playing with 2 or 3 people, and another buddy or two wanna join at some random point cus they just got online, everybody has to exit out to the lobby cus it's not drop in/out (which seems particularly weird, cus distance wise you're bound to host, and also there is no apparent difficulty scaling whatsoever). Every time you do back out to the lobby, you'll get like 5 spam messages about how you're unable to connect to host (even if you are the host) for no apparent reason.

I mean, honestly, considering it took them a year...a fucking year...to add co-op back into Halo, this coulda been a whole hell of a lot less messy than it is.

There's no way to tell times for missions either (unless I'm missing something) because I did all collectibles on my first run I didn't get the 8 hours or whatever achievement, I thought I could just go back and play the longer ones but there's no times afaik

Another thing is doing the LASO run doesn't work with replaying missions it has to be a new run, which is just mind boggling. idk how they fucked up mission replay so badly.

My first playthrough went mostly smooth but this 2nd one has been laggy af and it keeps freezing where I think my game crashed but it's just frozen for like 20 seconds. And yeah the message spam going back to the main menu is annoying af 

All in all, a poor showing considering the time it took. Kinda expect this stuff at launch
