Looking at my list so far, you might think I haven't played a video game in 25 years, lol. I promise games from this century are coming soon! Here's my brief look at my first few games:

49 - Warlords - 1980 - My first console was an Atari 2600, and I have fond memories of quite a few games from that console. The only one to crack my top 50 was Warlords, a 4-player game with each player protecting their castle, one in each corner. Each castle was protected by a wall and the player piece that would slide around the outside of the wall. Basically, it was like 4-player Breakout.

Great list!

But I wanted to comment specifically on Warlords. I've been playing a lot of this via the Atari 50 collection, on both arcade and 2600. It's really fun, despite the simplicity. Looking back, it's pretty impressive how Atari was able to take the Pong formula and expand upon it to make several games. Single-player Pong? Here's Breakout. Four-player competitive Pong? Try Warlords
