Sailing over the rusted and ruined skyscrapers of post-apocalyptic Earth in a customizable airship base is an appealing idea, which is why survival game Forever Skies had such a popular demo during Steam Next Fest in October. According to developer Far From Home, over 80,000 players constructed their futuristic blimps, gathered resources, crafted gear, and went fishing for giant mutated moths in the clouds of toxic dust covering the planet.
If you were hoping to dive deeper into that devastated world this year, you're going to have to wait a little longer. Forever Skies was originally due out in early access before the end of 2022, but Far From Home announced today that release date has drifted into the first half of 2023.

God of War: Ragnarok leads The Game Awards nominations for 2022

The nominees for The Game Awards 2022 have been announced, and God of War: Ragnarok leads the way with 10 nominations, including for Best Narrative, Best Performance, Best Action/Adventure, and—of course—Game of the Year.
Two games share second place in the noms-getting department, Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West, with seven each, while third place unexpectedly goes to BlueTwelve's cyber-kitty sim Stray, which drew six nominations. A Plague Tale: Requiem followed with five noms, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Immortality, Neon White, Sifu, Tunic, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 round out the pack with three nominations each.

For the first time, Warzone is on Steam

Just a couple of days before its launch on November 16, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has arrived on Steam and launched a pre-load option for the game, but not without sowing a bit of confusion.

The people have spoken: Sonic Frontiers is better than Elden Ring

The open world Sonic game that released last week has an 8.5 user rating on Metacritic, while the shoo-in for most GOTY awards, Elden Ring, is sitting at a 6.9. I'm afraid that means that Sonic Frontiers is actually better than Elden Ring.
That's not the only evidence that the blue blur is just plain better than the grizzled old wretches of the Lands Between. A source PC gamers may consider more reliable than Metacritic user reviewers, the Steam user reviewers, have at the time of writing awarded Sonic Frontiers an "Overwhelmingly Positive" user review average. Elden Ring's average is merely "Very Positive." Sonic Frontiers wins again. Better game! More whelming!
