Yea but it reeks desperation if anything. Why not wait until the 15th when we have the performance numbers as the reviews will be out a day before the actual launch. Then they would have an entire day to compare the performance of 7900XT/XTX against the 4080 before the 4080 launches. Instead all AMD has done since their event is avoid showing direct performance figures against Nvidia whether it be Lovelace or Ampere.
