Hopefully SE gets the message instead of continuing to do EGS exclusivity nonsense |
Doubtful. Activision pulled CoD from Steam to their own launcher to get 100% of the money. S-E still gets money from the Steam users, but first they get a nice sum of money to launch their games only on the EGS for half a year. For S-E, it's a win-win scenario: they get the exclusivity deal and later the money from the Steam users.
In fact, they do it not once, but twice. First the exclusivity deal with Sony, then the one with Epic and after thatm they launch it on Steam. You can bet all your money that they would acept another exclusivity deal on top of that in a heartbeat.
And well, we all know that those on Steam that complain and swear that they won't buy their games after having to wait for so long are a small minority that won't have a real effect on the sales.
Please excuse my bad English.
