It's about damn time

Sweet, now that it's going out into the wild, all we have to do now is wait another 10-15 yrs for devs to completely master this like they've all mastered DX 12 (that was sarcasm for everyone here).

I'm also expecting this to eventually becoming a marketing gimmick (even tho it's not one, but you get the point, a cheklist box to tack onto a game trailer).

I want to be enthusiastic about this, but it's taken this long for them to get it out into the wild, only for them to say "now that we've done it, everyone else has to do their part now and master our tools", and being brutal here; I do not expect more than a tiny handful of devs to master this within at least 2 yrs of use, I'm fully expecting DX 12 all over again, where it becomes hit n' miss with some devs, hit with others.

All I want is for them to dev tech that doesn't really need much of an outside devs input, because tbh, I don't trust many devs to unify and all agree on the right approach to doing much of anything, I've seen enough game cancellations and disasters to know that devs aren't a hivemind that know how to craft a polished game with new tech.
