We need to see that 4080 trashpile benched against the 3080 model tbh. I wanna see just how shitty it really is, because if it's not that big of a gain from the 3080, then it'll be the worst card in that new line entirely.

Here's my Strix 3080 results before I installed the 4090.

Strix 3080 OC: 4950

https://www.3dmark.com/sw/25643

Strix 3080 Stock: 4627

https://www.3dmark.com/sw/2160

So based on my experience compared to the leak:

4090 Strix OC: 10806
4080 12GB: 5382
3080 Ti: 5336
3080 Strix OC: 4950
3080 Strix: 4627

Another way to look at it is because Speedway scores is the average fps you get in the benchmark... You are essentially gaining 7sh fps if you go from 3080 to 4080 12GB vs gaining 60+fps by going from 3080 to 4090.

Thanks for the numbers.

But we should compare the 3080 with the 4080 16GB, which is the closest to a real xx80 card we have this gen.

Also, a quick check shows that the xx70 cards usually end around the performance of the xx80Ti card of the gen they're replacing, sometimes above, other times below. With that in mind, the 4080 12GB results make it look more and more like what a 4070 should be. Now it's on Nvidia's hands what to do with it, will they call it 4070 or be bold enough to call it 4070Ti?

Please excuse my bad English.
