Uh what? Since we are here, let's talk about some aspects of race. Race is a cultural construction. Skin color varies based on a complicated mix of genetics, as well as culture. For example people that go outside a lot will tend to have slightly darker skin than people who don't. There are lots of cases of non-identical twin siblings where one of them has white skin and the other one has black skin. They have the exact same parents and yet their exact mix of genes has completely opposite effects. These DNA tests don't work. They will say things like "you are 15% asian", but that's not how it works. It looks for certain genetic markers and rather says something more like there's a 15% chance you have some Asian background. But that is not the same thing as saying you are Asian or that you are 15% Asian. Genetics is complicated. Stop putting so much importance on it. |
K, You're right I should stop putting importance to it. :(
