Captain_Yuri said: Well if people buy the 4080s, it basically gives Jensen the aokay to release shit tier prices of the lower end cards. If people don't buy the 80 class, there may be hope yet. And yea, 8k is a joke. At best, people should get 4k but only really at 32 inches. The rest should be focused on the image quality. Does it have proper HDR? Does it have OLED? Etc. People that buy 8k for PC use are dumb imo. |
At this rate, I'm ready to accept that me just not buying anything isn't gonna do anything, because I know there are ppl out there who are more than willing to throw their money into a pit of "who cares, buy product nao", and that I'm likely to be fucked outta Nvidia's market this entire gen, just like I was the last 2.
I just think that the 1% don't even care what sort of example they are setting for the long-term, kinda like the ppl that fed nestle all these decades, and only now just finding out how shitty of a company they really care, I think ppl are eventually gonna wake up to that with nvidia later on down the line, because if this shit isn't gonna phase ppl from buying stupidly chunky, power hungry and expensive cards, then shit surely is gonna need to get worse later on for them to wake up.
I think the focus on 8k is as the dude says in the vid: bragging rights, but at the same time, what is there to really brag about?, like you get to play at a slightly crispier image quality output and a few less frames?. IQ stopped with me at 1440p, that's why I'm still sticking to 1440p and will likely keep with it for another decade or so until 4k becomes 1080p, but I reckon 1440p will reach 1080['s status symbol before 4k does.
