Sony passed over and over on a JRPG from ex Wild Arms dev recently and that's why those devs took it to Kickstarter and had great success there.

So it seems like Sony has very little interest or at least very picky on what they invest in when it comes to small JRPG's and their devs. I wouldn't think Sony would be interested in Tri-Ace at all.
