My main concern, the combat system, seems universally praised but apparently not enough to make up for the game's oh-so-terrible flaws... The game is well presented and oozes personality afaic, I'm definitely getting it in November for the more complete experience. I just don't see how an average story and simple level design in terms of exploration can hurt the experience THAT much. I remain more concerned about the battle system which hopefully lives up to the praises its getting, coz button mashy systems with little to no strategy/attentiveness involved just don't do it for me anymore, which is why I'm waiting for the higher difficulty levels that can force me to pay attention to everything and feel the significance of my inputs. |
Valkyrie Elysium is nowhere near the 4.5 that Destructoid gave it.
BUUUUUT.
I have lots to talk about. Almost done with main story. Will give my thoughts by wednesday.
