Not misinterpreting. You just aren't understanding.

It doesn't matter if T239 has 8 cores per cluster.
They can still deactivate cores.

And again, all silicon chips are binned... By binning every chip, Nintendo/nVidia can set a clock/voltage level that will give them optimal yields for the production runs they are aiming for.

No, you are still misinterpreting. They created a product with additional features that none of their other chips in the same line have. That is not a product of binning.

I'm not saying the product can't be binned. I'm not saying they can't shut off cores. I'm saying that the addition of 8-cores in a cluster when none of their other products have 8-cores in a cluster is NOT the result of binning but the results of customizations to the chip itself.

If you read this comment and you still want to reply with "Every product can be binned"...don't. I know a product can be binned after fabrication. I'm talking about the specs laid out before fabrication.

I am not saying that a specific additional feature is a product of binning.
I am saying all chips are binned.

Tegra Orin is using 4-core clusters, so it scales the cores (and accompanying cache) in groups of 4.
However the leaker (To be taken with a pinch of salt) could be referring to a "cluster" as a group of cores that are NOT in a BIG.Little configuration... This is something that won't be confirmed until we actually get genuine information rather than baseless rumors.

Tegra T239 is just a rumor. Remember that.
