You haven't seen fury until you've seen a (fluently Russian-speaking, very tolerant Armenian girl) who dared speak English to some new Russian guy being told 'ну че, мы же не армяне, давай по русски'

I'd wondered about that given the number supposedly crossing the border. Reminds me of reddit post I'd seen where some very sheltered Americans go to Europe and demand they speak English and complain they can't use dollars.

Kinda worse from the Russian aspect though due to the perception of a colonial relationship and that given the Ukraine war Russia could end up using it as an excuse to attack to 'protect Russian speakers'.
