I really am going to have to go full AMD this gen, because Nvidia/Intel are just shitting the bed constantly. Making DLSS 3.0 exclusive is also another kick to the "tough shit" nuts. 

Yeah same. Not spending over £700 on a graphics card. Never mind one costing near a grand for a X7XX class card. That should be reserved 80Ti class, from AIB's. Hoping RDNA 3 cards are much more sensibility priced, but I wouldn't be surprised if they too joined the race to the bottom.. with them following similar price tiers albeit slightly cheaper than Nvidia equivalent.

But yeah this all feels like a Don Mattrick moment of.. "No Internet? We have a product called the Xbox 360." Except replace the latter with overly produced RTX 3000 series cards they have in abundance. And them up-selling the 4090 because of how unappealing the 4080 cards are for mainstream consumer/gamers in terms of pricing.

To add insult to injury they're advertising old games with shiny new graphics.. that, tbh don't look all that impressive. The PC industry (hardware) is so fucked rn.

If they're so dumb to do that they'll face the same situation: having spent billions in R&D, buying foundry capacity and the pilling up warehouses full of cards only to see them covered in spiderwebs due to lack of demand.

On a more serious note, if both AMD and Nvidia price their cards out of the leage of the mass consumers, the GPU market could shrink a lot, causing both of them to lose insane amounts of money.

Who knows, maybe EVGA decided to exit the market at the right time.
