JEMC said: Your next Steam Deck could be a streaming device Well, that trend is set to continue, because in a recent interview with Famitsu Weekly, Valve designer Greg Coomer let slip a bit of the company's thinking when it comes to new Steam Decks. Most surprisingly, he indicated that one possibility for a "next generation" Steam Deck was that it "might even become a streaming machine," presumably taking advantage of the Steam Link technology that Valve has already poured a lot of time into. So, what do you think? Yay or nah? |
As long as it's not exclusively a streaming device, I'd be fine with it. The biggest selling point of Steam Deck is that you're carrying a portable PC with you. The whole point of it being handheld, like the Switch, is that you're not always going to be at a place where there's an internet connection, but you'll still be able to play your games. Unless they're multiplayer. If the next gen Deck turns into streaming only, you've taken away a major part of the appeal of Steam Deck.
