Doesn't give aspect ratio info in the trailer, but at 0:32 it shows the support which definitely looks 32:9

I don't know what to say. If the game already supports those aspect ratios, I don't know why they've added an option to force them... unless, after reading the text of the update again, this is to allow their use on monitor with different aspect ratios, like using the 21:9 on a regular 16:9 monitor/TV.

But I don't see why would anyone play like that, to be honest.

Yeah me neither lol. I just thought it was a nice post-launch update. Imagine someone with a 4:3 ratio monitor trying to run the game at 32:9
