boooring. Looks like a generic jrpg.

Main characters are teenagers? check.

Overload of custscenes? check.

I've been waiting ages for a decent, mature JRPG, and I thought Infinite Undiscovery was it, but unfortunately it looks generic.

We don't even know the actual age of the characters. Of course there is a lot of cutscenes, JRPGs are often among the most story-heavy games. We aren't sure of the story yet but we know the gameplay is different from typical JRPGs. IU is not as generic as you think.

EDIT:We did get a decent, mature JRPG in the form of Lost Odyssey

How is lost odissey mature? I'm not saying being mature is directly related to the artstyle, though LO's artstyle and choice of characterization is several times better than any jrpg of the last 5 years.

I was looking forward to IU because it's supposed to have atleast a bit of choice/consequence involved that directly affects the story, which 99% of jrpgs don't. But ugh, the artstyle is just so generic. Why do japanese developers always fucking choose teens as main characters??
