Looks like Zen 4 motherboards are even more expensive than I thought they would be. And with none of the mobo vendors doing PCI-E Gen 5 for GPU with X670, you will need to spend the big bucks for X670E if you want a truly long term platform or wait until they eventually release X670 mobo with PCI-E Gen 5 for GPU. Personally, I'd just wait for Zen 4 X3D. That way, you get the X670 with PCI-E Gen 5 for GPU + get a meaningful performance uplift for all the money you are spending.
