In a new video posted to YouTube, the gravelly-voiced narrator of the Total War series narrates a 13-minute flyover of the Warhammer Fantasy world.

Squirrel with a Gun is a game about exactly what it sounds like
https://www.pcgamer.com/squirrel-with-a-gun-is-a-game-about-exactly-what-it-sounds-like/
Hello. Squirrel with a Gun is a game that's coming to video game platform Steam, and it is about a squirrel with a gun. Not a squirrel sized gun, mind you, but like a regular person-scale weapon that it carries around and can use to rob people, solve puzzles, and apparently fight shadowy men in black-style government agents. At least that's what it does in the trailer which is embedded above but which is also on YouTube.

Soccer Story is a fantastical RPG about playing that beautiful game
https://www.pcgamer.com/soccer-story-is-a-fantastical-rpg-about-playing-that-beautiful-game/
Here's a whimsically appealing game: Soccer Story, an "adventure RPG" from Not Tonight and Not Tonight 2 developers PanicBarn and publisher No More Robots. In a world where Soccer has become illegal and everywhere to play soccer has been shut down, Soccer Story is about one person and their magical soccer ball, which has chosen them to be the Savior of Soccer. The developers call it "a physics-driven adventure RPG, where every problem can be solved with your trusty magic ball."

Insomniac Games worked on multiplayer modes for Marvel's Spider-Man, PC files suggest
https://www.pcgamer.com/insomniac-games-worked-on-multiplayer-modes-for-marvels-spider-man-pc-files-suggest/
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is an exclusively single-player experience, as is its follow-up Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is coming to PC soon. But it appears developer Insomniac Games toyed with the idea of multiplayer in its open-world superhero game, as suggested by information uncovered within the PC version's executable file.
>> Well, that's what mods are for, right?

A new Middle-earth game is in development by the studio behind the visual effects of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy
https://www.pcgamer.com/a-new-middle-earth-game-is-in-development-by-the-studio-behind-the-visual-effects-of-peter-jacksons-lord-of-the-rings-trilogy/
Take Two's publishing label Private Division has announced it is working with Wētā Workshop, the production company that created the special effects in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, on a new game "set in the Middle-earth universe of J.R.R Tolkien." The game, which will be based upon the "literary works of the series", is currently in early development, and is expected to launch during Take Two's fiscal year 2024, although a specific release date has understandably not been announced.
>> Two thoughts: it's in early development but will launch in less than 3 years? It doesn't look like an AAA game (not that this is bad, of course). Also, does Weta have any experience in game development?
