Latest data from Valve’s Steam Survey shows that Quest 2 now makes up the majority of headsets on the platform at 50.32% (+1.3%).

Pity they'll be raising the price of it soon, it is great standalone and PC VR - I'm currently hoping to find some time to play Moss 2 and waiting eagerly for Red Matter 2.

Imagine if Ms and Sony decided to rise the price of the Xbox SX and PS5 using the same shitty excuse. Backlash i hope would be unreal.

I wanted a Quest 2 i guess i will put up with my Acer VR headset for now till Meta/facebook hopefully learn some lessons.

And if i do end up getting a Quest 2 or 3 it will defo be second hand. dont want that shitty company to see a penny of my money after this.

I'm very curious to see how that price hike will turn out for Meta. OC2 is successful mostly due to extraordinary bang for buck (being standalone no wires/base stations VR, plus PC VR), but on the other hand at $300 it certainly didn't have much competition as well - if there is no one to take them on at that price bracket, I expect sales to drop, but OC2 will keep on dominating the market.
