I've had my eye on this one for a while, but have been hesitant to take the plunge as it seems quite difficult and I can't handle difficult games due to a combination of a mild fine motor control impairment and trouble regulating frustration.

What I would do is get it on PC. I am sure this will go on sale during the Steam Summer sale. Once you get it on PC, you can download what is known as a "trainer" that will allow you to enable cheats like infinite health and such. You can google "Death's Door Trainer" and find plenty of mods that can be applied very easily even for beginners. That does take away from the challenge of course but hey, if you really want to play it and have issues like that, it could be a good way to go.
