I'd love for it to be true, but the headline is exagerating the situation, unlike the Tom's Hardware article they base this piece on: "Below MSRP and Only Getting Cheaper: The GPU Deluge Begins".
Retail prices have fallen, yes, but only a 2%. Where prices have fallen more is in the used market, where miners are trying to get rid of their parts before it's too late and they've dropped 10% in the last two weeks.
But yeah, miners, stores and AIBs will want to get rid of their stock before the new cards come so, this is just the beginning.
