I believe the Series X|S has been on the market roughly 78 weeks, which is almost exactly a year and a half. They have sold about 200,000 consoles in Japan over that time period, which averages out to about 2,500 consoles sold per week. That works out to about 130,000 console per year.
If Xbox is able to maintain that sales pace over an 8 year console lifespan, the Series X|S will sell slightly over 1,000,000 consoles in Japan over the course of its life.
Does that seem like a reasonable goal for anyone else? Or should be expect a sales cliff earlier
