Oh, don't get me wrong, I have no doubts that the new cards will be more efficient, but that wont stop them from using more power than the ones they replace. And yes, part of that comes from having more, and faster, memory.

In any case, that doesn't change Marth's problem.

Yeah it is frustrating. At least Zen2/3 have been a big statement in power efficiency and I am very happy with my 3700X.

Which is also the reasen I view a 3060Ti within my power budget. And now that Crypto crashed a bunch maybe prices will come down a bit more.

I don't know how it is for other countries but here in Germany the price of electricity has also risen by a lot which is another reason why I limit my build.

Crazy to think that in the future I will have to go down to the XX50 cards. I have always been in the 60Ti - 70 range. Great memories of my 560Ti :D

So maybe a 6600XT? Though I have no idea how AMDs drivers are. I have been using only Nvidia for the past 10+ years.

AMD Drivers are fine... And have been fine since the frame-pacing issue got resolved years ago.
