I played and beat the first. It's a very rough game. 2 is much better but still suffers from of the same issues but improved on a lot of problems I had with the first. The first game seems like a rough outline of an idea but that's it. 2 feels closer to the execution of one. While both games are connected storywise. 2 explains the first so much you need not play it.
