Yeah one component eating up as much as a whole PC or more than some home appliances is pretty nuts. Whats scary is that these cards are still on PCI-E 4. Once PCI-E 5 stuff is readily available (PSU's and all), I can see AMD and Nvidia  wacking these up even higher.

While I'm all for tech and progression.. but there really should be an agreed limit to how hard these cards push. Imagine in 2 gens time after Ada LoveLace/RDNA 3 and we have 1500W GPU's top end and 600W 70 series cards lol.
