My update had a problem.
I had just finished a game when I noticed it wanted to update before I turned it off so I did. Halfway through the update it seemed to restart and then it tried updating again. Seemingly halfway through that update it restarted again.
Then it said "Hard drive not found" or something like that. I kind of began panicking but I ejected the disc before doing anything else because I didn't want it stuck in there just in case the ps3 wouldn't turn back on. It ejected fine. No response from the controller at all so I had to push the power off button myself.
I pushed the power button to turn it back on and it worked. It seems fine now but that "Hard drive not found" message was really scary.
