Eh, i still can't see Xbox going for aggressive exclusivity when the trends of recent years has seen fewer and fewer games being locked to one console, and the fact they've already said they'll keep their biggest new acquisition, COD, on the competition. Microsoft's focus has been less and less on trying to push hardware and more and more on pure profit going back years now. Elder Scrolls 6 on PS5 is just too lucrative for a company with this focus to pass up on.

MS probably has to be a little bit careful. Sony acquiring Bungie was partially a warning, in terms of potential and not funds.

If MS makes too much exclusive, it's hard to believe that Sony won't go after the big audience games, like COD. If Sony were to put a major focus on creating a relatively successful COD competitor, it would make the MS $70 billion acquisition worth way way less than what it was worth.

Sony would only need to competitively challenge a few newly acquired MS franchises and the loss to XB will be great, while the benefit to PS would be even greater.

Sony could even do this through Bungie, or that same type of scenario with another acquisition, so they could put PS COD on XB and even Game Pass.

Successful COD competitor? Just like Killzone (Halo killer) and PS All Star (Super Smash killer)??? Well, then let them do it.
