PS4 entered into a similar exclusive marketing deal but that was after many were already switching to PS after the dismal XBO reveal / launch. And like the 360 before it, the games played better on PS4. It's just the way the pendulum swings, back and forth. If people can jump ship from 360 to PS4 then they can certainly jump back to Series X.
Or be like me... who plays both.

Like I've said on this very thread, people jumping back to the Xbox platform this generation, even the Series consoles winning NA for the generation, is a completely different scenario than Xbox dominating NA like the Xbox 360.

The main point missing here is the large screw up the PS3 was, at least until the Slim model 3 years into the gen vs the strength of PS5 since launch.
PS3 vs PS5 launch is the opposite so far. Sony couldn't entice you to spend big on PS3 (in 2006), while they can't stop the hoard from wanting a PS5.
