If Transnistria attacks Ukraine then I hope Moldova invites Ukraine in to wipe them out and hand the region back over to Moldova...

More likely than I think that Moldova will use it as a reason to move against Transnistria. Fair chance that Transnistria getting involved would see an escalation - Moldova has a very close ally in Romania who would almost certainly back Moldova in any miltos action against Transnistria/Russia - and Romania is a Nato member.
