GeForce RTX 3060 Ti vs. Radeon RX 6700 XT, 50 Game Benchmark

I think the reason the 6700XT is dropping off at higher resolutions is almost all due to Raytracing. This will then probably only get worse with time - unless GPU memory needs go beyond 8GB, at which point the 6700XT has the advantage of coming with 12GB, As Far Cry 4 with the HD texture pack shows.

Also, I was surprised at the minimum FPS in Fortnite, which are pretty abysmal on the GeForce. 79 FPS vs 55 FPS is a pretty huge difference, as this means the game can't hold a stable 60 FPS in 1080p right now. I hope future updates can solve that.

Well there's only like two games where they turned on Ray Tracing and of those two, only Metro has proper Ray Tracing and even then, they put the Ray Tracing setting to normal instead of high or Ultra. The rest is in Raster. The benchmarks are also done with SAM/ReBar enabled so this is the best case for AMD. Far Cry 6 is an AMD sponsored title that we all know is a Vram hog for no reason other than being AMD sponsored title. If it looked visually next gen, then I'd be more so inclined about Vram.

But regardless of which, this is pretty terrible for Radeon. A 6700XT is supposed to be a 3070 competitor, not a 3060 Ti competitor. Yet one year later, it's getting smoked by a 3070 and is barely competitive against a 3060 Ti even when a lot of advantages are given to it. For an architecture that's supposed to be the king of Raster, this is quite disappointing tbh.
