It is really boring and the expansion is lacking.
It's hard to explain unless you have it, but it is by far the worst Sims 2 expansion and nearly everyone agrees. Ironically enough, on the official Sims board, I was the only one who thought it would be dull and get boring before it was released. Everyone else said "omg it'll be amazing" and I was saying what it ended up like. "Sure, the novelty will be fun, wow your dog is cute, your sim is petting its dog...but then the novelty will wear off and the dog will be another boring hassle, and you won't want them in your sims households anymore."
They messed up the Pets expansion for The Sims 1 too...(although it was good because it brought a lot of new stuff and made the neighborhood bigger, the Pets part was horrible, it would have been better without the pets)
