I don't think I've ever been this disappointed in a game's writing team. Like yeah, Cyberpunk's lore was more or less mangled and tossed aside, it's story not all that concise and connected, but WoW has had years and years worth fo established lore, and the current writing team has been doing it's damned hardest to fuck it all away and reduce it to nothing.

Imagine trying to use a well known and established character to advertise your next version of classic, only to fuck him away, to be forgotten forever in the current expansion...

Seriously Blizz, your writing team absolutely sucks ass, and I really wish you would stop fucking around with established characters. You already perma deleted Garrosh, forgot about Varian and now Saurfang, turned Sylvanas into a Mary sue who's going to somehow be magically forgiven for her crimes (just you watch, it's basically waiting for her going by the current level of writing), and after showing us that cinematic to show off SL expansion, using Arthas, a popular character, you now reduce him to literally nothing and claim he's going to be forgotten...

I'm sorry, but this is just incredibly dumb as fuck to watch happen, especially when you consider that Jaina hardly gets any fucking words in, let alone Uther, Arthas's teacher and mentor, while mary sue Sylvanas good gal, gets the majority of words in and the final last word. Like yeah, Arthas did her bad, but she burned a world tree filled with innocent women and children, and the writing team are doing their best to forget that actually happened.

I've never wanted a writing team fired so badly. They clearly don't care or give a fuck for established lore, and they know full well they wrote themselves into a corner, so instead of admitting this, they just retcon shit and make mary sues for those written into that corner. Even uther is magically forgiven for deliberately passing judgement on Arthas, a job which was ultra specifically given to the Arbiter, and well, should be punishable by eternal damnation, which Uther is never getting, because the writing team cannot stick to their established lore, let alone giving actual consequences for their actions.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
