Banning Russian Vodka will have no impact on their economy and is a silly idea. Banning Russian sports teams, artists, musicians is another stupid move.

Sending troops  and military equipment to fight the war will work better than economic sanctions and political rhetoric.

No it has to be both. Idea of sanctions is to pressure Russia so there would be no need to fight and die, the war needs to stop immediately.

And sanctions will make it harder for Russia to rebuild and modernize their already surprisingly weak military force. Less change of things escalating further imo.

Yet Europe can't afford to cut off Russian gas supply which would be the only way to hurt their economy the most.
