Sony has not made anywhere near the acquisition that Microsoft has with Bethesda and Actiivsion

Also you are not understanding, whatever lessons Sony learnt after the bad PS3 generation,we are seeing the Fruits of those lessons today with the Blockbusters Sony produces today.

But after the hugely successful PS2 generation,Sony became arrogant an messed up the PS3 generation.

Similarly after the hugely successful PS4 generation,SONY isn't doing the same amount of work today to secure PS5's future and PS6.

Microsoft on the other hand, learnt hard lessons after XBOX One's struggles and is today what SONY did after PS3 generation

What?

Sony has never put in the amount of work they are right now.

They just spent $3.6 billion on Bungie. Their previous biggest gaming purchase was 1/10th of that.

They bought 5 studios last year, more than they ever have. They said, they have a lot more coming. Their previous biggest buying spree was 4 studios across 2 years.

They've been expanding their studios at a record pace. SIE has never been larger.

They have made far more exclusive deals this generation like Final Fantasy XVI, Forspoken, Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo.

They're not spending as much as Microsoft, and they're not growing as quickly. At the same time, they've never needed to.

Sony is bigger market share wise than Microsoft, Activision, Bethesda combined.

$3.6Billion for Bungie VS Microsoft buying Bethesda for $7.5billion & Activision for $70billion..

The 5 studios Sony bought except Insomniac were all low key.

Sony isn't competing with itself but Microsoft so its Microsoft's investments that you should compare with not Sony's previous small investments.

Also,Sony now has a bigger market share but the way they are going, they won't in the future if they don't up their game
